Q: Something unexpected came up.  Can I get a refund on my registration?

A: Registration is non-refundable unless you added Purchase Protection* when you registered. You may sell or transfer your registration** to a substitute attendee of your choice through July 10, 2023.

Q: What should I bring with me?
A: Most of our classes and demonstrations are presented in lecture/demo style in a convention and special events facility so there is no need to bring computers, machines, or supplies unless you are registered for a Thursday Workshop. Just bring yourself and be ready to learn, shop, and have fun! An extra pen and paper can be helpful and if you have business cards to exchange, bring plenty! Rolling carts for your purchases are permitted. Cameras are welcomed, but we ask that you please respect our presenters and do not record video during classes. Remember, it's hot here in Texas and we will be in an air conditioned event center so a light sweater can come in handy!

Q: Can I bring my spouse to the event?
A: Sure! Anyone entering the event area will need to be registered for the event, including spouses. If your spouse would like to join you at The Getaway but prefer to not attend the event there are plenty of things to do in the area!  

Q: Can I bring my child to the event?
A: We are happy to welcome the next generation of creativity to The Getaway, however, children under 10 are NOT permitted in any of the classrooms while classes are in session. Anyone entering the event area will need to be registered for the event,  If your family would like to join you at The Getaway but prefer to not attend the event there are plenty of things to do in the area!

Q: Do you offer single day passes?
A: Yes! You can view all of our registration options here.

Q: Can I pay at the door?
A: Yes, you may pay at the door for most registration options provided that we have NOT SOLD OUT. We accept cash, Visa, and MasterCard.
 VIP registration must be completed in advance through our website.  Shop & Social Registration is FREE in advance, $10 at the door.

Q: Are the classes for beginners only?
A: Both beginner and intermediate/advanced level classes will be offered. A variety of classes will be offered for those who are just getting started as well as intermediate/advanced level classes for more experienced attendees and small-business owners.

Q: Where is the event held?
A: The 2023 Applique Getaway will be held at the
Westin DFW Airport Hotel in Irving, Texas. 3 miles north of DFW International Airport.
